The Best Way to Eat Chocolate; Chocolate Tasting

By

Want to know the best way to eat chocolate? Ever wanted to taste chocolate? If the answer is no, grab your computer and throw it against the wall…. I’m serious. I will show you how to top that wine tasting snob, you’ll become an expert in chocolate tasting. I’ll be short and sweet (get it) in showing you the art of tasting chocolate, because chocolate tasting is something that everyone can love to do

Now go buy some chocolate. I recommend buying Ghirardelli dark chocolate squares. They will say what percent they have of cocoa. Otherwise any chocolate that labels how much cocoa they use will suffice. I recommend anything between the 70’s to mid 80’s. Most people prefer chocolate in those ranges, 90% or higher is an acquired taste, it will taste bitter to you if you’re not used to it. Was your first beer a Guinness? Well lets not start chocolate tasting the same way if it was.

First step to chocolate tasting, open the wrapper and expose the chocolate. Break off a chocolate square for your first chocolate tasting. You’ll want the chocolate to come to room temperature. So give it a few minutes before you start devouring it.

Take the chocolate square and break it in half. Now take one half and gently rub it with your thumb, and then smell the chocolate and imagine the taste. Now that you’re drooling, I want you to put the chocolate between your toes… I’m kidding just making sure you’re still focused.

Now place the chocolate square on your tongue, let it start to melt in your mouth. Take your tongue and push the chocolate square gently against the roof of your mouth to quicken the process. Now you’ve suffered enough, so eat it however you fancy. You now know how to eat chocolate.

Continue this process with richer and richer chocolate as in chocolate with higher and higher cocoa content. That is the absolute best way to eat chocolate.
